Story:

Edgevanta wasn’t just an idea. It was a necessity built from firsthand experience in the dirt world. Our Founder and CEO, Tristan Wilson, is a 4th-generation contractor who grew up in his family’s business, Barriere Construction, a leading infrastructure contractor in South Louisiana. He spent years bidding and managing civil projects, battling the same challenges today’s estimators face. He learned the hard way.

His first big bid? He underpriced the job by $700,000 on a $2.1 million bid - losing a staggering 33% of potential profit. Another time, a $6.5 million bid was submitted just 19 seconds late - disqualifying what would have been the winning bid.

Those moments made it clear - estimating and bidding were broken. And if the system wasn’t working for him, it wasn’t working for countless other contractors. That’s why he started Edgevanta - a platform designed by builders for builders. Since launching in 2022, we’ve partnered with top paving and infrastructure contractors nationwide, achieving 3X growth in the last year alone. Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Technical Leadership

• Establish and promote best practices in coding, architecture, and design patterns within the team.
• Provide thoughtful and detailed code reviews and maintain high technical standards in delivery.
• Lead technical discussions and decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and strategies.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Fullstack Development

• Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components, delivering a smooth user experience.
• Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and robust features for the Edgevanta application.
• Implement and optimize the data pipeline to efficiently feed data into the application, ensuring data integrity and performance.

Innovation and Problem Solving

• Proactively identify and address technical challenges, proposing innovative solutions to complex problems.

• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, incorporating relevant advancements into the product development process.

• Drive the continuous improvement of the codebase, optimizing for performance, security, and maintainability.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams.
